Our guitar education programs serve schools, community centers and clinics that have very little or no music programs for their participants with a goal to create conscious kids that make for better people. Let us go into our memories and recall a certain situation that we succeeded in but did not know how we pulled it off. Maybe it was when we were in school? Your job? Your life? Internal Creations guitar programming focuses on life skills that are naturally taught in music learning but are often not spoken about in detail in order for students to understand how they achieved success in their musical journey. This approach allows us to develop the meta-cognition in our youth that we as adults require to properly guide our critical decision making, health, and happiness. Would we not all like to know the formula to achieve our goals? https://www.internalcreations.org/community-service daily 0.75 2020-10-17 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602786565868-ND43I7AYBGX1ALNHS3C3/Kids+Volunteering.JPG Community Service - Why community service? Creating better people is not just about learning a life skill and understanding it. Without action, it becomes no more than just an idea that stays in our brain. Our community service component to our education programs is designed to apply the life skills that have been taught and experience that there are many ways to give back to our communities. During our community service outreach, our students learn new skills that are unrelated to music and see how the three pillars of success are at work every minute of the day, in different industries. Left: Students help package up food for people in need at St.Johns Bread and Life food pantry https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602787582191-VXKJXLSEWK96O9OF98MQ/64323809_2260413704051769_3877277719259512832_o.jpg Community Service - How it works Our students prepare music during the school year to perform for their final recital at the end of the academic year. As they learn new music, they learn new skills that need to be applied to fully understand them both. The students choose an organization within the communities they live in and perform a showcase concert for the residents of nursing homes, participants of food pantries and more in order to unite and brighten the moods of the people they are serving. After the performances, students usually do a Q and A with the audience to answer any questions regarding any musical or experience based questions the listeners have for the young leaders. Then… Our students rollup their sleeves and get to work in volunteering to help out the specific organization or work directly with the people for the rest of their visit. Thus resulting in smiles, happiness and overall great feeling from helping others through music. Right: Students have direct conversations and revive musical talents with seniors at Council Center for Senior Citizens https://www.internalcreations.org/teaching-opportunities daily 0.75 2023-10-19 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602957096986-KQ6STT747A587W3G9GJ7/20190613_162649_Burst01.jpg Teaching opportunities Mentors Luke Vichnis (Transit Tech H.S.) and Martin Granda (Multicultural H.S.) join forces with their ensembles https://www.internalcreations.org/board-of-directors daily 0.75 2022-05-18 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1603236512691-18BE17YOP7X3TXB9H4OB/Matthew+Mazanek+Guitar.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/e02a355a-0844-4fe4-938a-4b000aa28baf/rick-auman.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1603236453573-HNTOSNPVV4KO264RRBHM/Dennis+DaSilva.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1603236478870-VD8T87BWKESA0GMDOVE7/Greg+Smith+Picture.jpeg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1603236495148-2VOH5HN37215QX0TRKUW/Jacob+Piorkowski.jpg https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/a96670e3-1237-451a-9048-4da08fa29959/Jane+Parmel.jpg https://www.internalcreations.org/our-partners daily 0.75 2025-08-14 https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602884997245-G2NFN8RUP5WJL38DUH4T/Foundation_Logo_New_2017.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602885678453-FI042UM68OBBY5HRPDMQ/New+York+City+Council.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602884725626-OFTMOQ6VLJVD4XZOYXID/Screen+Shot+2020-10-15+at+1.05.38+PM.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1602885343325-J27L3UVCLRGWEQJLSUKG/The+Find+Your+Light+Foundation.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/6a00b98d-45b1-4c48-9748-686cc8744ed3/NYSCA+2.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/537aab11-a738-49c6-8d52-e7bd967043a1/dclaLogo_color_2.png Our Partners https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5f57d4354e2b150b579ea9b0/1619622603595-TZK4K4EGJUWZUOFYKDD4/IMG_5936.JPG Our Partners Alex Garfield Shares the Love with our Guitars in the Heights: M.I.H.
